Accounting Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all financial operations at our luxury resort. This role is responsible for the financial health of the property, from establishing accounting systems during the pre-opening phase to managing all financial reporting and analysis in normal operations.

Job Description

Pre-opening:

1) Develop financial structure: Collaborate with leadership to create the initial chart of accounts and financial reporting structure.

2) Implement financial systems: Assist in selecting and implementing accounting software and other financial systems.

3) Establish policies and controls: Document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for the resort.

4) Manage pre-opening budget: Prepare the initial budget and track expenses, reporting any variances to management.

5) Recruit and train staff: Participate in hiring and training the resort's accounting team.

Normal Operations:

1) Oversee financial reporting: Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes and reporting.

2) Manage budgets and forecasts: Initiate and support all budget and forecasting activities for the resort.

3) Conduct financial analysis: Monitor and analyze financial data to identify efficiencies and improve procedures.

4) Ensure financial security: Maintain financial security by establishing and enforcing internal controls.

5) Supervise the team: Lead and provide training to the general ledger group to meet all financial deadlines.

Qualifications
1) Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a professional accounting qualification (CPA) is highly desirable.

2) Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong preference for a hospitality or resort setting. Pre-opening experience is a strong advantage.

3) Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and leadership abilities.

4) Attributes: A responsive, adaptable, and calm individual who values simplicity, quality, and building meaningful connections.

5) Must be a Thai National.
