Oak Meadow International School is seeking a highly capable and experienced School Manager to oversee the School’s administration, regulatory compliance, human resources, operations, and coordination with relevant government authorities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the School Licensee, School Director/Principal, Management Team, and Heads of Departments to ensure that the School operates efficiently and in compliance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC/สช.), relevant education authorities, and applicable Thai laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Candidates should:
• Be Thai nationality and meet all legal qualifications required for appointment as a School
• Manager of a private school in Thailand.
• Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution; a Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Administration, Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, Law, or a related field is an advantage.
• Meet the applicable qualifications and have no prohibited characteristics under the Private School Act B.E. 2550 (2007), as amended, and relevant regulations of the Private Education Commission concerning the appointment of a School Manager.
• Have substantial experience in school administration, educational management, HR, operations, or organizational management; experience in an international or private school is strongly preferred.
• Have strong knowledge of MOE/OPEC requirements, private-school regulations, school licensing, government inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Have knowledge of Thai labour law and experience overseeing HR administration, employment documentation, staff records, policies, disciplinary processes, and related compliance.
• Be capable of coordinating with government authorities regarding school licences, registrations, reports, approvals, and other regulatory matters.
• Have strong leadership, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Be able to communicate effectively in Thai and English, both written and spoken.
• Have high standards of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and accountability.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general school administrative systems.
Key Responsibilities
The School Manager will be responsible for the overall administration and operational management of the School, including:
• Ensuring the School operates in accordance with the Private School Act, MOE/OPEC regulations, the School’s establishment documents, licences, policies, and other applicable laws.
• Coordinating with the School Licensee, Principal/School Director, Executive Committee, and Management Team.
• Acting as a key liaison with OPEC, the Provincial Education Office, Ministry of Education, Immigration, Department of Employment, Social Security Office, Revenue Department, and other relevant government agencies.
• Overseeing school licensing, registrations, official documentation, government reporting, inspections, renewals, and regulatory submissions.
• Supervising and coordinating HR, administration, visa and work permit matters, procurement, facilities, transportation, security, housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, and other support functions as assigned.
• Ensuring proper recruitment, employment documentation, personnel records, attendance, leave administration, performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary procedures.
Ensuring school policies, regulations, SOPs, and administrative systems are properly implemented and regularly reviewed.
• Supporting annual budgeting, administrative expenditure control, procurement, asset management, and coordination with the Accounting Department.
• Ensuring appropriate health, safety, safeguarding, emergency, and risk-management procedures are maintained.
• Preparing for and coordinating MOE/OPEC and other government inspections and following up on corrective actions or recommendations.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential school, employee, licensing, and regulatory records.
• Supporting continuous improvement and quality assurance in accordance with applicable standards for international schools. The OPEC publishes specific guidance concerning educational standards for international schools in the private-school system.
• Performing other duties required of the School Manager under applicable laws and regulations or as assigned by the School Licensee/Management.
Preferred Experience
• 5–10 years of management experience, preferably within an international school, private school, educational institution, or similarly regulated organization.
• Experience dealing directly with MOE/OPEC and government inspections will be highly advantageous.

Position2: HR Manager (Thai nationality)
Location: Oak Meadow International School, Phuket
Oak Meadow International School is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to manage the School’s human resources function, with a strong focus on recruitment, employee relations, and HR compliance.
The HR Manager will work closely with the School Manager, School Director/Principal, CEO, and Heads of Departments to recruit, support, and retain qualified teaching, administrative, and support staff.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Law, Psychology, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of HR experience, preferably in an international/private school or multicultural organization.
• Strong experience in end-to-end recruitment, particularly teacher and international staff recruitment.
• Good knowledge of Thai labour law and HR compliance.
• Experience with employment contracts, personnel records, onboarding, probation, performance management, leave, attendance, and disciplinary procedures.
• Experience coordinating visa/work permit matters for foreign employees is an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in Thai and English, both written and spoken.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the School’s end-to-end recruitment process, from vacancy planning and job advertising to screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offers.
• Develop and maintain a strong pool of qualified teachers, administrators, and support staff.
• Coordinate recruitment through job boards, recruitment agencies, professional networks, and other appropriate channels.
• Work with department heads to identify staffing needs and prepare job descriptions.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, contracts, probation, and employee documentation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records.
• Manage attendance, leave, employee benefits, and HR administration.
• Support performance management, employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
• Coordinate staff contract renewals, resignations, and employment changes.
• Ensure HR policies and practices comply with Thai labour law and School policies.
• Coordinate with the School Manager, Principal/Director, and CEO regarding visas, work permits, Social Security, and other employment-related government requirements.
• Support staff engagement, professional development, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
• Prepare HR reports and provide recommendations to the School Manager and Management Team.
