Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages while delivering professional, attentive, and personalized service. The role ensures that the bar and beverage service areas are maintained to the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency, in line with the company’s wellness philosophy and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, mocktails, juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide knowledgeable and personalized beverage recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary requirements.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of beverage menus, ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and available alternatives.
- Ensure consistent beverage quality, presentation, portion control, and service standards.
- Prepare the bar and beverage stations before service and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the bar, counters, equipment, glassware, and storage areas.
- Monitor beverage stock levels and assist with requisitions, receiving, storage, and inventory control.
- Check product quality, expiration dates, and proper storage conditions.
- Minimize waste and ensure responsible use of beverages and operating supplies.
- Process guest orders accurately and coordinate effectively with the restaurant, kitchen, and other F&B team members.
- Handle guest requests, comments, and concerns professionally and report significant issues to the supervisor.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, HACCP, health and safety, and company procedures at all times.
- Follow applicable regulations and company policies regarding the responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain all bar tools and equipment in good working condition and report defects promptly.
- Support restaurant and other Food & Beverage operations when required.
- Participate in training, briefings, and departmental meetings.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the F&B Supervisor or Restaurant Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bartender, preferably within a luxury hotel, resort, wellness, or fine-dining environment.
- Good knowledge of cocktails, mocktails, beverages, coffee, tea, and beverage preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of healthy and wellness-focused beverages is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Service-minded with a professional and well-groomed appearance.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to operational requirements.
