Position: Primary Thai Teacher (for foreign students)
Location: Oak Meadow International School Phuket

Are you a passionate Thai teacher who enjoys working with young learners and sharing the Thai language, culture, and traditions with international students?

We’re looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and creative Primary Thai Teacher to join our international school community in Phuket!

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Thai language lessons for Primary students

Teach Thai language skills appropriate for students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds

Introduce students to Thai culture, traditions, customs, history, and everyday life

Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, teaching materials, activities, games, and assessments

Create fun, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences that encourage students to use Thai in real-life situations

Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Assess and monitor students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback

Support students in developing their Thai listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills

Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet different learning abilities and language levels

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and wellbeing

Participate in school activities, cultural events, meetings, professional development, and other school programs

Contribute to the school community by sharing Thai culture and helping international students develop an understanding and appreciation of Thailand

Maintain accurate student records and contribute to the school’s academic programs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Thai Language, Education, or a related field
Teaching qualification/certification is preferred
Previous experience teaching Primary-aged students is an advantage
Experience teaching Thai to foreign or international students is highly desirable
Native or excellent Thai language proficiency, with strong communication skills
Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
Creative, patient, enthusiastic, and student-centered approach to teaching
Ability to adapt lessons for students with different language abilities and cultural backgrounds
Ability to work collaboratively as part of an international team
International school experience is an advantage
