KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintenance Support for Existing Retail Stores
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues such as malfunctioning equipment, faulty wiring, leaks, stuck doors, damaged lighting, and broken furniture.
- Coach store staff on simple first-check steps so minor issues do not escalate.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to catch problems before they affect store operations.

2. Construction Site Support
- Support the Site Engineer and Construction Manager during new store build-outs and renovations.
- Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are ready, organized, and stored properly.
- Handle site clean-up, material handling, and equipment setup and teardown.
- Perform basic construction tasks including painting, tiling, shelf installation, and minor fit-out work.

3. Health and Safety
- Follow all on-site safety protocols without exception.
- Report hazards, near-misses, and risks to the Site Engineer or Construction Manager immediately.
- Use PPE correctly at all times.

4. Documentation and Reporting
- Submit weekly maintenance reports to the Site Engineer covering tasks completed, parts used, costs, and issues still open.
- Maintain a clean log of all repairs, installations, and improvements made across stores and sites.
- Photograph before-and-after for every significant repair.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Hard Skills
- 3+ years proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or trade worker in construction or retail environments.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC basics, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and follow site plans.
- Experience servicing air conditioning units is a strong plus.
- Competent with common power tools, measuring instruments, and basic diagnostics.

Soft Skills
- Practical problem-solver. You see a broken thing and your first instinct is to fix it, not refer it.
- Service-minded. Store teams are your internal customers. You treat them well.
- Can work under pressure and handle emergency calls calmly.
- Clear communicator. Can explain the problem, the fix, and the cost to a non-technical store manager.
- Follows detailed instructions from the Site Engineer and other stakeholders.
- Reliable, punctual, and honest. We hand you keys to our stores. That trust is earned daily.

Education and Other Requirements
- Vocational certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Additional certifications in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC are a plus.
- Male, aged 25 to 35.
- Able to lift heavy materials and equipment as required.
- Flexible hours including occasional weekends and holidays based on store needs.
- Valid driver’s license is a plus.
