Job Title: Group Director of HR
Reporting to: Group Chief Executive Officer / Group Chief Operating Officer
RECRUITMENT
• Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants.
• Proactively identify recruitment opportunities and propose effective recruitment strategies.
• Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
• Develop, administer, and evaluate applicant tests.
• Negotiate bargaining agreements and help interpret labor contracts.
• Oversee the evaluation, classification, and rating of occupations and job positions.
• Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
• Analyze training needs to design employee development, language training, and health and safety programs.
• Recommends, designs, develops and implements innovative learning and development programs that support the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding, career development, wellness, succession planning, and management and leadership development.
• Administer compensation, benefit and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
• Plan, organize, direct, control, or coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of an organization.
• Manage employee KPIs together with the Finance Division.
BUDGETING & REPORTING
• Prepare and follow budgets for personnel operations.
• Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly HR reports.
COMPANY CULTURE
• Establish policies and procedures for the Group.
• Develop and/or administer special projects in areas such as pay equity, savings bond programs, daycare, and employee awards.
• Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment and recommend needed changes.
• Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
• Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of the organization's personnel policies and practices.
HR MANAGEMENT
• Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
• Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers.
• Contract with vendors to provide employee services, such as food, transportation, or relocation services.
• Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
• Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
• Represent the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
• Plan staff culture events and activities to foster improved staff/company relations.

Qualifications – Group Director of Human Resources
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree (MBA or HRM) or relevant postgraduate qualification is highly preferred.
Professional Experience:
• Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership or corporate/group HR role.
• Proven experience in multi-site, regional, or multinational environments, preferably in industries such as hospitality, retail, real estate, healthcare, or manufacturing.
• Demonstrated success in leading organizational transformation, talent development, and culture-building across large teams or diverse operations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of employment laws, labor relations, and HR compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
• Expertise in strategic HR planning, workforce analytics, and organizational design.
• Deep knowledge of talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & benefits, and leadership development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex change management initiatives and drive business results through HR strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• High emotional intelligence (EQ), cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative leadership style.
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, Oracle, SuccessFactors) and reporting tools.
• Comfortable using data and metrics to support decision-making and demonstrate HR value.
• Familiarity with digital HR tools, modern talent platforms, and AI-based recruitment or performance systems is a plus.
