Lalizas Thailand Country Manager - Job Description

I. Position Summary
The Country Manager for Lalizas Thailand is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational management, and financial performance of the company's operations in Thailand. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented leader with deep knowledge of the marine accessories and safety equipment market, particularly in the Thai and Southeast Asian context. The Country Manager will be tasked with reversing the recent sales decline and driving sustainable, profitable growth across all product categories and client segments.

II. Key Responsibilities
A. Strategic Leadership & Business Development
• Develop and execute a comprehensive country strategy aligned with Lalizas' global objectives and the specific needs of the Thai market.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to expand market share.
• Lead the strategic planning process, including annual budgeting, sales forecasting, and resource allocation.

B. Sales & Revenue Growth
• Drive aggressive sales growth across all product lines, with a particular focus on reversing the decline in Safety, Electrical, and Anchoring & Docking categories, targeting 10% annual growth in 2026 for the overall business.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders (e.g., shipyards, marinas, commercial operators), with a focus on re-engaging the top declining clients through the Key Account Management Program.
• Lead the implementation of the strategic sales improvement plan, including:
◦ Product Portfolio Optimization: Modernize the Safety product line (e.g., smart life vests) and expand the Electrical portfolio (e.g., latest navigation systems).
◦ Client Relationship Management: Establish a Key Account Management Program for the top 10 declining clients (e.g., APT Technology, Surapol Chandlery) and implement a customer referral program.
◦ Targeted Marketing: Oversee the launch of digital marketing campaigns and a safety awareness program to reach recreational boaters, charter companies, and commercial operators.
• Ensure all targets for H2 2025 (5% growth) and 2026 (10% growth) are met.

C. Operational & Financial Management
• Full P&L responsibility for Lalizas Thailand, ensuring profitability and efficient cost management.
• Oversee all local operations, including inventory management, logistics, and supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all local laws, regulations, and company policies.

D. Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and manage the local team, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
• Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Ensure the team is adequately trained on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.

III. Qualifications
A. Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or general management, with at least 1-2 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Country Manager, General Manager).
• Proven track record of successfully managing a P&L and driving significant revenue growth in a competitive market.
• Specific experience in the marine, boating, or related technical equipment industry is highly preferred.

B. Skills & Competencies
• Deep understanding of the Thai business environment and cultural nuances.
• Excellent command of English and Thai (both written and spoken).
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.

IV. Reporting Structure
The Country Manager will report directly to the CEO.
