Key responsibilities

-Attend to students and staff's injuries, illness, and assist in handling outbreak cases, such as hand, foot and mouth disease

-Provide first aid and emergency care and treatment as required

-Provide a confidential counselling and health advice service as required

-Ensure care plans are developed and written for children requiring them, for example in the case of asthma, epilepsy, diabetes and anaphylaxis

-Lead and operate procedures for control of infectious diseases

-Administer medications under protocol, keeping accurate dispensing records

-Maintain the stock in the treatment room and be responsible for the hygiene and tidiness of the area

-Promote health education, and ensure the provision of, and access to, a range of appropriate publicity materials on children's health issues


Qualifications
-Degree in Nursing or equivalent
-Able to work well with children
-Computer literacy
-Relevant experience working in a school environment would be an advantage
-Good communication in English
