Primary Teaching Assistant

Do you enjoy helping children feel confident, included and ready to learn? We are looking for a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to work alongside our Primary team in a diverse, Finnish-inspired international learning community.

What you will do
 Support whole-class, small-group and individual learning under the direction of the Homeroom Teacher.
 Help adapt activities and resources so learners with different strengths and needs can participate and succeed.
 Encourage independence, positive behaviour, wellbeing and respectful relationships.
 Prepare learning materials and help maintain a safe, organised and engaging classroom.
 Observe learners, share relevant feedback with the teacher and assist with records and routine administration.
 Support supervision, transitions, school events and activities, while following safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and school policies.
 Help bring Finnway's identity and inclusive learning approach to life each day.

What we are looking for
 A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, or strong relevant qualifications and experience.
 Experience working with primary-aged children; international or English-medium school experience is an advantage.
 Good spoken and written English.
 A warm, patient, observant and reliable team member who takes initiative and communicates well.
 Respect for cultural diversity and a genuine commitment to every child's learning, wellbeing and safety.
